New Hampshire AAA Driving School classroom & in-car instruction course

Students may begin scheduling driving lessons after completion of the third class. This is a state requirement: there are no exceptions.

Students must have an active portal and must be signed into the portal to schedule driving lessons. Students may have up to two driving lessons scheduled at any given time. Once a student has signed up for a Driver Ed session, instructions will be emailed on how to successfully sign up for a student portal.

The in-classroom session is scheduled over a six-week period, with driving lessons extending after that. The complete driver education course includes 30-hours of classroom, 10-hours behind-the-wheel and 6-hours of observation.

Yes, the course must be completed within 180 calendar days from the last class.

A $200 deposit is due at registration. The remaining balance is due before the Parent/Student Orientation. If you need to cancel your space in the class, you must provide notice at least two weeks before the orientation, upon which your deposit will be refunded. If you cancel within the two-week period before orientation, your $200 deposit will be forfeited. No refunds will be given after the student has begun the class.

If a student needs to cancel, and reschedule a driving lesson, the student may do so through the Student Portal. Driving lessons must be cancelled at least 24 business hours prior to the driving lesson, otherwise a $50.00 fee may be incurred. The fee must be paid before the next driving lesson, or the next driving lesson may be cancelled.

Research shows that the best learning experience is when behind-the-wheel training is integrated with the classroom learning. New Hampshire DMV requires that students must complete the full driver education program within six months from the last class.

Full payment is required to be received by the school no later than 10 business days prior to the Parent/Student Orientation date for that session.

The State of New Hampshire requires 30 hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction, and the student must observe another student drive for 6 hours. Students MUST be in the classroom at the appointed class time, if a student is more than 10 minutes late, they will be marked as absent. If a student misses a class for good cause, the student will be allowed to complete a project equal to the time missed and pertaining to the material that was covered. Any student exceeding 4 hours of missed classroom instruction will be removed from the program, and no refund will be issued. Good cause shall include illness or injury of the student, or a death in the immediate family (including household members and grandparents), or natural disaster so declared by an official government authority. Schedule conflicts due to extracurricular activities, sports, vacations, or work do not meet the definition of just cause for missing class.
